Learning on an Empty Stomach is Hard

Retiring School DebtIn recognition of our 20th anniversary on November 20th, we have chosen to celebrate this milestone by joining in the fight against childhood hunger. Our financial support is helping to ensure that all students can focus on learning, and that parents don’t have to go into debt.

Federal funding for free student meals ended in 2022. As of today, the following numbers reveal serious concerns facing our nation’s school children.

  • Average school meal debt per child: $180.60
  • Total national school meal debt: $260M
  • Students who cannot afford school meals: 30 million

Definitive has donated to “Erase School Meal Debt” in support of the efforts of Educate Fairfax in the state of Virginia. We encourage our customers, partners, and friends to learn more and invite others to support this noble cause.
